Course Description

New school year, new caseload, and there's a good chance CAS is already on it. This is where you walk in with an actual plan instead of hoping it comes together as you go.

In this fast paced, 2.5 hour live training, we're skipping the theory heavy fluff and getting straight into real treatment approaches for Childhood Apraxia of Speech. You'll learn how to target the core characteristics of CAS directly in therapy, get a full walk through of the DTTC, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing, hierarchy, and finally understand the motor learning principles that should be driving every decision you make in session.

Two and a half hours. One clear plan you can use the next time CAS walks into your caseload.

Every registrant walks away with more than notes. Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1.  Describe treatment approaches used to address the core characteristics of CAS in therapy.
2.  Outline the DTTC (Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing) hierarchy and how it's applied across a treatment session.
3.  Identify principles of motor learning and explain how they inform treatment planning and session structure for CAS.

Jennie Bjorem is a speech language pathologist and Childhood Apraxia of Speech specialist who has built her work around one goal: giving clinicians tools they can actually use, not just information to sit on. Through Bjorem Speech, she creates assessment and treatment resources designed to take the guesswork out of working with CAS, from the first screening to the treatment plan that follows.
